When is the race on?
The St. Stephen’s Day 5K Road run will be held on Sunday December 26th 2021. 

What time does it start?
The 2K Fun Run/Walk will start at 11:45am sharp. 
The 5K Timed Race will start at 12:15pm sharp

Can I enter online?
Yes you can enter on line using MyRunResults.com. (Please note there is a small transaction fee payable for using this facility).

Can I enter by post?
No

How much is the run entry fee?
The entry fee for this year's run is:
2K - €10 on Line Entry Only
5K - €15 on Line Entry Only

Where are the race headquarters?
The Race Headquarters will be at the Sports Hall in Farranfore. Eircode V93 KP27. The Sports Hall will be signposted on all major routes coming into Farranfore.

Can I enter on the day?

Will there be changing facilities available here?
Yes

When will I get my number?
You can pick-up your number at The Race Headquarters on the day of race

What must I do with the Chip Timed Bib Number?
Please do not fold or cover over the RFID Tag at the backof the race number. This will facilitate the reading of the RFID Tag at the finish line thus giving you an accurate time & position.

Should I wear my number on the front or the back?
Your race number should always be worn on the front, on your singlet/t-shirt, not on your shorts. This will facilitate the reading of the RFID Tag at the finish line thus giving you an accurate time & position.

What happens when I cross the finish line?
Please proceed immediately through the finish tunnel where we will scan your time & race number. Continue to pass through and you can collect your medal & avail of water.
Please remove Chip timed bib and place into designated bins, this is to prevent duplicate readings.

Are there showers/refreshments after the race?
Due to current situation in regards Covid we have decided to have no postrace refreshments.

Can I wear an IPod/Mp3 player?
We do not under any circumstances allow our runners to use I-pods or Mp3 players. We have found out over the years that headphone wearers do not hear instructions from our stewards and so are safety hazards. With the numbers we have in this race we must look after everyone's safety. We take this very seriously, we have to, your safety is important to us.

What first aid facilities are available?
On the day of the race we will have a medical jeep /ambulance at the race start/finish area from The Order of Malta. These qualified paramedics will be on hand to attend to any emergency. If you have any difficulty please notify a steward on the course. 

Are there toilets by the start?
No.

Does this race have an A.A.I. permit?

Yes this race does have an A.A.I. permit. 

What are the prizes for the race?
Prizes for the 5K Timed Race Only.

Will there be parking available?
There will be some parking in the vicinity of the Sports Hall area but this will be on a first come first served basis. There are many parking areas around the Farranfore village. There will be absolutely no parking allowed at the start/finish area. All entrants are requested to park in designated public parking spaces only.
